Cranmere Primary School News - Spring 2025

Dear Parents,

Now that the Summer term is underway, we wanted to take a moment to look back and share some of the brilliant things the children got up to at Clubland last term.

What We've Been Up To

The Spring term was packed with creativity, teamwork, and lots of fun!

In January, we kicked off the new year with big smiles and hands-on activities—from split pin animals and cake decorating to group drawings and dragon mask making for Chinese New Year. The children also enjoyed baking festive biscuits. Our new life-size dollhouse and reward board quickly became firm favourites!

February saw a focus on wellbeing and self-expression, with activities like 'Cups of Positivity', mindfulness colouring, and mask making. The children also got involved in Safer Internet Day by designing their own informative posters.

In March, we celebrated with pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, embraced junk modelling for Global Recycling Day, and made bright and cheerful St Patrick’s Day crafts. As the weather improved, the Pirate Ship was a daily highlight—perfect for blowing off steam and making the most of the outdoors.

It was a fantastic term, full of creativity, exploration, and fun!

A Big Thank You

We’re so grateful for the wonderful support from our Clubland families.

A special shout-out to:

  • Austin Meakin and Lucy Starling for the lovely donation of DVDs—our film nights just got a whole lot more exciting!
  • Michelle Pidgley for gifting us the fabulous Barbie limo and hobby horses. The children love them!

If you’re having a clear-out and have any toys, books or games looking for a new home, feel free to have a chat with Wendy or Laura—we’re always grateful!

Looking Ahead to Summer Term

We’ve got a brilliant line-up of activities this term, including:

  • Clubland’s Got Talent
  • The Clubland Olympics
  • Summer crafts
  • Lots of outdoor play

We’re also planning a makeover for our reading corner/snug to give the children a calm space to unwind, enjoy a book or just have a quiet moment after a busy school day.

A quick reminder: please make sure your child brings a named sun hat now the warmer weather is here—we’ll be outside as much as we can!
