Hello and goodbye!

It has truly been an emotional term for us, returning in September knowing it would be our last term here has felt surreal. However, amidst the mixed emotions, our primary goal as a club has always been to have a fantastic time, and that's exactly what we've been doing. We've been immersing ourselves in creativity, construction, messy play, and cookery, and it has been an absolute blast.

Our activities

With all the exhilarating celebrations throughout the months, we've carefully planned our weekly activities to include creative endeavours related to Halloween, Fireworks, Diwali, and now Christmas. As part of this, we've thoroughly enjoyed engaging in conversations with the children to learn about their diverse family traditions. This has been an incredible experience, providing us with valuable insights into each child's unique experiences and helping us better understand them as individuals. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this journey and for the trust you have placed in us to care for your children.

Free play

While our focus has primarily been on organizing and leading structured activities for the children, we also believe in the importance of free play. Throughout the mornings and afternoons, we provide opportunities for the children to engage in unstructured play, allowing them to explore and extend their imagination and creativity.

One memorable occasion was when we set up an area filled with bamboo half tubs and toy cars. As soon as the children discovered this setup, their curiosity peaked, and they were instantly drawn to it. They began experimenting with different ways to arrange the tubs and create a makeshift car run. It was truly incredible to witness their excitement and enthusiasm as they became creators of their own play.

Collaboration and teamwork were key during this activity. The children worked together, discussing ideas and problem-solving as they built their car run. This not only enhanced their social skills but also strengthened their friendships. It was heartwarming to see how they supported and encouraged one another throughout the process.

As the children engaged in this unstructured play, they were not only having fun, but they were also developing essential skills. They were honing their communication skills by expressing their ideas and listening to others. They were enhancing their problem-solving abilities by figuring out how to make the cars move smoothly through the bamboo tubs. And most importantly, they were exercising their creativity and imagination by transforming a simple setup into a thrilling and interactive car run.

Christmas celebrations

As the term draws to a close, we are thrilled to continue the Christmas celebrations with the children. Our advent calendar is brimming with daily activities and surprises, building up anticipation and excitement. From crafting to playing games, the children will have the opportunity to create Christmas-themed crafts, decorate cookies, and write heartfelt letters to Santa. To add to the festive spirit, we will be hosting a merry Christmas party where the children can indulge in delicious treats, partake in fun games, and dance their hearts out. Through these delightful activities, our aim is to create cherished memories and cultivate a sense of joy and wonder during this magical time of the year.
