Cranmere Autumn news

14th December 2023

CRAN-2

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of a lively Autumn term, we take a moment to reflect on the journey we've shared together. These past months have been a whirlwind of activity, offering opportunities for learning, growth, and creating lasting memories. We're delighted to see the positive energy that has defined this term, from engaging discussions and events celebrating Black History Month to initiatives promoting awareness about bullying. The creative spirit sparked during our Christmas arts and crafts sessions has not only beautified our spaces but has also captured the essence of the season.

Team news

With mixed emotions, we share the news of Sharon's retirement, a valued member of our team for many years. Sharon's exceptional professional skills, warmth, and dedication have left a lasting impact on Clubland at Cranmere, and she will be greatly missed. Sharon extends her heartfelt gratitude for the generous gift she received and is sincerely appreciative of your kindness. While she will miss the children and parents, our doors will always be open, and we hope she will visit soon.

In other news, we're thrilled to share that our very own Wendy took centre stage as Pat the Cow in a local pantomime production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Perhaps some of you already caught wind of this exciting news and even attended the show to cheer Wendy on. The Clubland team gathered on the Saturday night to watch her performance, and we're bursting with pride—Wendy did an outstanding job! We applaud her for an amazing performance and are truly proud to have such a talented member in our midst. Congratulations, Wendy!

New year, new activities

Looking ahead to the new year, we're excited to introduce a special Club Council where children will play a key role in shaping new food menus, suggesting ideas for toys and equipment, and planning exciting activities. They will even take charge of our club veggie patch – how cool is that? We're eager to hear their amazing ideas to make our club even more enjoyable together.
