Minibus Driver – Holiday Club Shuttle Service

 

Location: Claygate, Surrey
Pay: £14.05 per hour, plus holiday pay (total uplifted rate: £15.25 per hour)
Hours:
07:45–09:30 and 16:30–18:00, Monday to Friday during school holidays
Contract Type:
Permanent, part-time (job share available)
Age Requirement:
Applicants must be 21+ and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years

 


 

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to join our team and help run our shuttle service for children attending our Holiday Club. You’ll be responsible for collecting children from local schools in the morning and returning them in the late afternoon, ensuring they arrive safely and on time. This is a rewarding role where you’ll be part of a supportive and fun team, making a difference to local families during the school holidays.

There may also be opportunities to support with occasional trips and outings during the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive our 16-seater company minibus between designated pick-up and drop-off points
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the minibus is clean and well-maintained
  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional attitude with children and staff
  • Work closely with the Holiday Club team to ensure smooth and timely journeys
  • Follow all road safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Complete journey logs or basic admin tasks as required
  • Provide assistance during off-site trips, where available


 

What We’re Looking For

Essential:
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Held a full UK driving licence for 2+ years
  • Clean driving licence with no endorsements
  • Confident and responsible driver with good knowledge of local routes
  • Punctual, friendly, and great with children

Desirable:
  • D1 category licence (not essential, but a bonus!)
  • Previous experience driving a minibus or working with children
  • First Aid or Safeguarding training (training can be provided)
