About Clubland at Cranmere Primary School

Our Breakfast and Afterschool club is available to all children from reception to Year 6. We have been running for over 17 years and have gone from strength to strength due to our dedicated and enthusiastic managers Sharon Perrin and Wendy Tyler. They are supported by and an inspiring team of playworkers.

The club has its own base, located in the maple room and small hall. This enables the children to take ownership - making it their own place to unwind, relax, create, learn, and play. They are involved in making decisions about the club through the Club Council. In addition to the Portacabins the children have access to the school hall, ICT suite, MUGGA and pirate ship.

Staff encourage the children to be creative both inside and out, testing their skills and knowledge of the world, and encouraging physical and cognitive activities. There is a vast selection of play equipment and resources and as well as free play, a daily adult led activity is provided which may be a cooking, craft, quizzes, or a sports activity.

Ofsted

At our latest Ofsted inspection in 2018, the setting was rated as 'Good' and the inspector comments on how the children are happy and secure and have lots of interesting things to do and explore. She also highlights how happy our parents are with the provision.
