Smoking, vaping, alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the premises at any time.
No smoking/vaping signs are displayed in the settings and we adhere to the no smoking on work premises law.
If a member of staff is found smoking/vaping on the premises, they would be asked to leave and disciplinary action would be taken.
If a parent/carer was found smoking/vaping on the premises they would be asked to leave immediately.
Any member of staff found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs would be asked to leave immediately and disciplinary action would be taken against them.
If a member of staff had good reason to believe that a parent/carer is under the influence of alcohol when they drop off or collect their child, they must inform the supervisor and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). It would then be up to the supervisor/DSL to decide the best course of action such as arranging to have someone else pick up if that parent/carer is planning to drive.
